About

Mr. Qutubuddin, Principal of Bal Uday Model Inter College in Jalpura, Greater Noida, UP, leads a school that has been a pioneer in modern education since its establishment in 2000. The school was founded by his father to address the lack of accessible education in the area. “At that time, parents were hesitant to send their children, especially daughters, to far-off schools,” he shared. Today, under his leadership, the school continues to provide quality education to children in the community, making a lasting impact on local education.

One major challenge for Bal Uday Model Inter College was the low fees, which led to financial difficulties in the early years. “We keep the fees low to make education accessible for everyone,” says Mr. Qutubuddin, “but this means three out of every ten students study for free.” A turning point came when Varthana provided a loan to help construct a third building, increasing the school’s capacity.

Looking ahead, Mr. Qutubuddin plans to enhance the school further. “We are working on building smart classrooms and seeking CBSE board recognition for a new school in Bulandshahr,” he said. The school leader also aims to rent a nearby ground to introduce sports activities, showing his commitment to continuously improving the school’s offerings.
